FOOD DELICACY OF VICTORIAS CITY

In Negros Island when people say sardines, what comes to mind are not the famous brand but the local favorite Victorias Sardines. 

Victorias Food Products is the food branch of Victorias Milling Company here in Negros and they manufacture all sorts of products such as canned sardines, canned bangus, and even smoked bacon and chorizo. Victorias Sardines can be seen also in one of their outlet located at Lacson Street, Bacolod City.

• Paano nag start ang Victorias Sardines?

"Kay sang una ang intention is that the male will work on the factory th and the females will be given an oppurtunity to work also. So before, gin tistingan na ang rampant nga fish ngadamo syempre the sardines on the bangus well so we tried it."

• Ngaa nag come up kamu sa hamon nga produkto?

"There was a need, there was a growth in the meat industry, so i guess during that time if we built up they would develop the product which could also get an acceptance to the public."

• Ano ang nabulig sang amu ni nga produkto sa inyo syudad?

"Actually ang syudad ya is siguro more siya sa sugar. Then this thing ya became, biskan mahambal kapa ya Victorias Foods ni, a lot of people don't know sang Victorias foods, kay they just say Victorias Sardines, bisan may ham na kami, may whatever pa kami, people always recognize Victorias Sardines."

• Ano nga mga feedbacks ang gkabatian niyo sa mga tawo nga nakatilaw na sang inyo produkto?

"I don't hear bad feedbacks during samun nga time kag before wala man ko kabati. Ang iban bala may comparison sa iban nga brand pero amu niya nami ni kay Spanish Style ni sa, not just other brands na tomato sauce lang ang gina butang amon ya indi. The thing that makes it expensive is nothing because , not making a big market it is because of the food ingredients which make it more expensive and delicious."

 Ano nga produkto ang gina pabugal sang Victorias City?

Ang una-una gid namun nga produkto amu ang hot bangus kag hot sardines. Tapos naga sunod na ang mga frozen foods kag iban pa nga produkto.

Regarding sini nga mga sardines kag iban pa nga mga products affordable man ang mga prices para sa mga consumers?

Ang amun nga produkto may kamahalan man tungod sa kwalidad, kung ikompara mo sa iban nga sardinas it costs 30 pesos per can.

 Ang amu ni nga produkto nag- click man sa mga tawo nga diri gaistar?

Oo eh, kay gina patronize man nila ang ini nga product. Dasun kung maghambal sila victorias sardines proud man gd sila nga amu man ni ang amun na produce.

Ang Victorias Sardines pila na ni ka tuig ga exist?

Since 1979 until now. Mayo man ang production sang amun industry.

Ano ang nabulig sang ini nga produkto sa pagkilala sa inyu nga syudad?

Amu ni ang permi nga gina pasalubong. Basta Victorias sardines gahambal gid ni sila nga branded gid ini ya nga pasalubong.
